The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Thomas dips to his left and cracks Martinez with an uppercut!
It looks like Leonard Martinez has been cut.
Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Thomas tries to clinch up
and Martinez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Thomas misses with a body shot.
Martinez doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thomas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Martinez throws out a counter right but Thomas avoids it with no problem.
Thomas tries to clinch up
and Martinez counters with a stiff right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martinez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Thomas doesn't seem bothered though.

Martinez connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Thomas! He's out on his feet! Martinez rushes in and drops Thomas with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
