The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simions is looking to clinch.
Nice defenses there by Simions.
Cullen swings widly with a right hand
and Simions counters with a low kick, right behind Cullen 's knee.
Simions throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cullen.
Cullen is looking to counter punch.
Cullen moves into range and connects with a jab.
Simions misses with a takedown
and Cullen counters with a right hand to the body.
Cullen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Simions sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cullen leaves Simions with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simions tries to close the distance and clinch but Cullen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cullen misses with a hook. Simions ducked under it nicely.
Simions steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Cullen.
Simions lands a slapping body shot.
Cullen scores with a nice right hand.

Cullen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cullen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Simions shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cullen but Cullen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jack Cullen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Locc Simions.
Cullen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Simions's hands.

Simions looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cullen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Simions.
Cullen throws a lazy right hand but Simions sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cullen is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Simions throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Cullen is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
