Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rashad Wilkinson!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young slips a jab and a cross from Wilkinson.
Wilkinson throws a big shot that misses.
Young gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sloppy strikes from Wilkinson. Those never looked like landing.
A counter left hand to the body from Young misses its target.
Wilkinson throws out a loose jab but Young uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wilkinson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wilkinson misses with a wild combination.

and Young counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rashad Wilkinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Young on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Young clinches.
Wilkinson wants to take the fight to the mat but Young manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Young.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Young swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Young stalls.
Wilkinson wants a takedown but no success here.
Young working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Wilkinson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wilkinson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Young's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Young pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wilkinson is keeping the position for now.
Young stops Wilkinson from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wilkinson throws the left hand but Young avoids the punch easily.
Young scores with the left hand. Wilkinson knows he should have avoided that one.
Young tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've been told by Young's head coaches at LOD - Slaughterhouse that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Young takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wilkinson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Young right on the button. Young goes down! Wilkinson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Wilkinson gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rashad Wilkinson!
