Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between dominickoy machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think machida might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to the game. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a chopping leg kick but machida manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
machida avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Hill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
machida gets in close and instigates a clinch.
machida is trying to drag Hill to the mat but Hill just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Hill is trying to break free.
Hill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice defenses there by machida.
machida has closed the distance and engaged Hill in a clinch.

Hill is looking to break free of the clinch but machida has double underhooks.
machida tries to pull guard but Hill holds him up against the ropes and eventually machida drops back down to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with machida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
machida is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hill is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
machida is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hill has escaped the position, nice work there.
machida advances nicely into full mount.
machida won't let Hill get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
machida working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Hill looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by machida! Submission of the night perhaps?
