Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Nove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Nove is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes blocks a head kick by Nove.
Nove looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hughes lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nove has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nove and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hughes just misses with a punch to the body.
Nove dives in and grabs Hughes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes down on Nove's head and hops out.
Hughes was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Hughes throws a body kick that misses.

Frank Nove seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hughes throws out a leg kick but Nove moves out of range and Hughes only half commits.
Nove throws out a counter right but Hughes avoids it with no problem.

Hughes throws a leg kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hughes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nove is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hughes lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Hughes is nestled in close to Nove, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hughes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hughes cracks Nove with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Nove is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hughes loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Nove scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hughes land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hughes stands and salutes the crowd.
