Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tane Huia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucien Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tane Huia has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tane Huia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lucien Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huia moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Wolf misses with a right hand
and Huia counters with a straight right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Huia. Those never looked like landing.
And Wolf tries to counter it with a takedown but Huia pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've been told by Huia's head coaches at SP ICON gym hilo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Huia lands a jab to the nose.
A decent looking cross lands there for Huia.
Wolf falls off balance throwing a combination
and Huia counters with a one-two to the body.

Huia tries to sprawl but Wolf drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wolf tries to pass the half guard into mount. Huia knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Wolf is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Huia defends it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Huia is trying to control but can't.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wolf connects with a nice short shot to Huia's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wolf is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wolf lands a big shot there that rocks Huia but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Wolf is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Huia is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Huia flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Wolf anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Huia and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Wolf slips an arm under Huia chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Wolf has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Wolf is squeezing on Huia like an anaconda would it's prey. Huia fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lucien Wolf!
A very excited looking Lucien Wolf rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
