PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Caliman Matos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thiago Acosta was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thiago Acosta!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acosta keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Acosta looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Matos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Acosta sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Acosta looks to land a left hand but Matos moved out of range nicely.
Matos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Acosta's waist but Acosta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matos off to one side.

Matos throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Acosta has his hands clasped together but Matos breaks the hold and Acosta is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Matos!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Caliman Matos!
Caliman Matos tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
