Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jon Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Jon Stanley !
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Balboa defends well and Stanley ends up having to push Balboa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Balboa lands a head kick!
Stanley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Balboa as he jumps to the side.
Balboa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Stanley clinches with his opponent.
Balboa is trying to pull guard but Stanley turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Stanley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stanley stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocky Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stanley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stanley shoots in but Balboa avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Stanley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Balboa, pushing him back against the cage.
Balboa is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stanley to keep the fight standing.

Stanley jumps guard.
Stanley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Balboa wants to control from the top but Stanley keeps moving.
Balboa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Balboa content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Stanley wants to sweep but no luck.

Stanley gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Balboa is pressing down on Stanley 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Stanley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Stanley gets to his feet. Balboa looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Balboa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Balboa is breathing heavily.

Balboa gets tackled into the cage by Stanley . Stanley maintains the clinch.
Stanley can't get the takedown.

Stanley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Balboa is trying to keep an underhook but Stanley manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Balboa trying to hold on to Stanley 's head to control him but Stanley postures up.
Balboa is looking to improve his position.

Stanley wants to work for an arm triangle but Balboa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Balboa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stanley is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Stanley closes the distance and clinches.
Balboa is trying to break the clinch but Stanley is controlling him.

Stanley works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Stanley stands up from Balboa's guard - Stanley perhaps looking for a knockout.
Balboa tries to clinch but Stanley moves away

and Stanley counters with a single leg into guard. Balboa didn't expect that.
Jon Jon Stanley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Stanley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balboa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Balboa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Balboa lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Balboa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Stanley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Balboa defends well.

Balboa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stanley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Stanley is trying to control Balboa's posture but Balboa avoids it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Balboa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stanley keeps working.
Balboa cracks Stanley with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Balboa tries to move to full mount but Stanley actually manages to regain half guard.

Stanley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Balboa is on him like a limpet, forcing Stanley back against the cage.
Balboa tries to break the clinch but Stanley is controlling the position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Balboa on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Stanley with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Stanley can't get the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Jon Stanley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Balboa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stanley defends it nicely.

and Stanley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Stanley 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Stanley pulls Balboa in close to his closed guard and prevents Balboa from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jon Jon Stanley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Rocky Balboa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stanley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jon Jon Stanley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stanley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
