The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cirkunov.

Burns rushes Cirkunov and presses him up against the cage.
Burns lands a nice elbow.
Burns gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cirkunov.
Burns misses with a knee strike.
Burns scores a nice knee to the body.
Burns lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Cirkunov is trying to force a seperation but Burns has the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Burns creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cirkunov's defenses.

Burns pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Burns throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cirkunov's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A chopping leg kick lands by Burns.
Cirkunov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burns as he avoids it easily.
Titan Xavier Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Cirkunov.

Cirkunov is looking to clinch but Burns is avoiding it.
Burns wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Burns fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Burns connects with an inside leg kick.

Burns moves into the clinch successfully.
Burns is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Cirkunov looks winded!
Cirkunov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Burns prevents it.
Burns creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cirkunov's defenses.
Burns lands a knee to the head.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Burns obliges.
Burns is pushing Cirkunov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Burns lands a hook that snaps the head of Cirkunov backwards.
Burns gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Felipe Cirkunov has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Burns lands a nice elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cirkunov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burns walks away with a smile on his face. Cirkunov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Burns.
Burns fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cirkunov.
Cirkunov gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cirkunov dives in and grabs Burns's left leg, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes down on Cirkunov's head and hops out.
Burns delivers a nice body kick.
Burns lands a brutal head kick. Cirkunov looks out on his feet and Burns throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
