Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Rousey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stein Ramm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramm is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rammstein. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raymond Rousey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stein Ramm!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Rousey or perhaps it was just good defense by Ramm, which made it look bad.

Rousey rushes Ramm and presses him up against the cage.
Ramm tries to break free but Rousey pushes him back against the cage.
Rousey lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Stein Ramm has been cut.
Rousey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ramm smiles and moves away.
Rousey shoots in for a double leg but Ramm sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raymond Rousey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rousey moves into the clinch.

Rousey breaks the clinch.
Rousey pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rousey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramm's waist but Ramm gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rousey off to one side.
Ramm tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Rousey darts in looking for a takedown but Ramm gets double underhooks and turns Rousey into the cage.
A nice combination there by Ramm.


It looks like Raymond Rousey has been cut.

Rousey has Ramm up against the cage in a clinch.
Rousey is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ramm pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Rousey manages to pull guard.
Ramm has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rousey is proving hard to escape from.
Ramm is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Ramm wants to stand and escape but instead Rousey has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Rousey jumps guard and drags Ramm to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rousey has a closed guard, preventing Ramm from standing up.
Rousey looking for a sweep. Not yet Rousey, not yet.
Rousey wants to improve his position but instead Ramm has moved into half guard.
Rousey desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Ramm tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rousey controls his leg.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Rousey pushes Ramm off and gets back to his feet.
Rousey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ramm lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ramm's coach down at Ultra Steel MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ramm's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ramm is looking to control Rousey's arms but Rousey gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ramm has his back to the cage.

and Rousey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Ramm is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ramm manages to pull guard.

Rousey gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Rousey shoots in and drives through. Ramm sprawls well.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rousey is defended easily by Ramm.

Stein Ramm seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Raymond Rousey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Ramm.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rousey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Ramm counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Rousey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ramm napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rousey is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ramm's shoulder. That is not cool.

Rousey decides to stand back up. Rousey steps back and let's Ramm get back to his feet.
Rousey moves out of range as Ramm throws a body kick.
Rousey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ramm circles away.
Rousey is looking to land body kicks.
Ramm is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Ramm misses with a two punch combination.
Rousey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ramm.

Rousey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rousey clinches up against the cage.
Ramm is trying to force a seperation but Rousey has the dominant position.

Rousey jumps guard.
Ramm wants to stand but Rousey has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Rousey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ramm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ramm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rousey will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Stein Ramm comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ramm has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
