Kocur comes to the cage accompanied by This Fire Burns - Killswitch Engage. Bustamante comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Here Comes The Boom! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Kocur.
Kocur fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bustamante.
A low kick from Bustamante is predictable there
and Kocur counters with an inside leg kick.
Kocur thows a leg kick but Bustamante checks it
and Kocur takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A jab from Bustamante does it's job there.
Kocur gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Joey Kocur has been cut.
Bustamante lands a big head kick that sends Kocur to the canvas! Bustamante follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Diego Bustamante decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
