The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
ko changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
ko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Joe.
ko looks to land a combination. Joe sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Billy Joe has been cut.
Joe takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
ko throws a series of punches but Joe moves out of range.

Good work by ko as he checks the leg kick.

Joe is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Joe fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging ko to the ground. Joe is now in ko's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if ko can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Joe lands a nice short elbow.
Joe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
ko is in trouble now - Joe has advanced to mount!
Joe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of ko's face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Joe postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have ko in real trouble here! The ref calls for ko to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
