And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oviedo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maverick back to the cage. Oviedo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Maverick gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Oviedo scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Ester Maverick has been cut.
A head punch on the inside from Maverick fails to land.
Maverick lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Oviedo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Maverick fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Maverick has closed the distance and engaged Oviedo in a clinch.

Maverick lands with a short shot to the head.
Oviedo tries to score a body lock takedown but Maverick shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Oviedo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Maverick lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Oviedo backwards.

Maverick lands a left hand.
Maverick creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Oviedo with a big uppercut! Oviedo tries to clinch up but Maverick pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Oviedo to the mat! Oviedo covers up and Maverick unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
