Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby Bones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones shoots for a takedown but Volland saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bones needs to keep his hands up - Volland had a free shot at his head there.
Bones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bones.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Bones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Volland.

Bones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Volland is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bones shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bones is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Volland has taken his back.

Bones turns into Volland and is now in his guard.
Bones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Volland swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bones is working for a kimura but Volland is defending it quite comfortably.
Volland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bones lying in Volland's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Volland decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Bones taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
