The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Force throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Theodorou has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Force finds it's way round the side to connect with Theodorou's head.

It looks like Jake Theodorou has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Theodorou.
Jake Theodorou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Force scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Force throws the left hand but Theodorou avoids the punch easily.
Theodorou throws a body shot but no joy.
Force is looking to counter punch.
Theodorou misses with a takedown attempt
and Force counters with a stiff right hand.
Force uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Theodorou.
Theodorou shoots for a takedown but Force saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mase Force has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Theodorou.
Force swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Theodorou looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Force is fending him off so far but Theodorou persists. Nope, Force circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Theodorou closes the distance and clinches up with Force, looking for a takedown. Theodorou pushes Force against the cage but Force circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Theodorou walks into a jab.
Theodorou fails with a takedown attempt.
Force throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Theodorou's coach down at Canadian Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Theodorou's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

and Force counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That has opened up Jake Theodorou's cut even more.
Theodorou shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Force as he avoids it easily.
Force scores with a jab. Theodorou acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Theodorou staying out of range there.
Theodorou feints the counter takedown.
Force fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Force sends Theodorou crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Force is motioning to the referee to let Theodorou up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The cut above Jake Theodorou's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Force has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Theodorou glances at the clock... BAM! Force nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Theodorou crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Theodorou is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

After winning the bout, Mase Force thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
