Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Dick!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dick has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Owens misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dick changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Owens throws a quick inside leg kick.
Owens lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Owens throws a body kick that misses.
And Dick tries to counter it with a takedown but Owens pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Crunch! Owens slams his shin into Dick's torso.

and Dick counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dick lands a couple of digs.
Dick tries to free his leg and advance position but Owens is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Owens is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dick looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dick is squirming around, avoiding Owens's attempts to control the action.
You get the feeling that Dick really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Owens lands a big shot there that rocks Dick but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Dick's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
