Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hughtavious Mingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Menace Defoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Defoe has chosen Bodies as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Menace Defoe told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Defoe forces Mingo back against the cage and clinches.
Defoe has a couple of punches blocked by Mingo.
Defoe tries to work over Mingo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mingo blocks an uppercut.
Mingo wants to take the fight to the mat but Defoe manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Defoe lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Mingo or not.
Mingo digs a right hand into Defoe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Defoe's gas tank.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mingo misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mingo is trying to drag Defoe to the mat but Defoe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hughtavious Mingo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mingo cracks Defoe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Mingo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Defoe sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Nice uppercut lands for Defoe. That snapped Mingo's head back.
Mingo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Defoe counters with a nice right hand that sends Mingo toppling to the canvas! Mingo scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Defoe finish him?!

and Defoe rattles Mingo with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Mingo tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Defoe dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Mingo stiff and motionless on the mat!
