And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a lunging right hand
and McDaniel counters with a two punch combo.
McDaniel avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd cheers as Johnson lands an impressive looking overhand right. McDaniel doesn't seem phased though.
Johnson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McDaniel lands a really nice looking cross but Johnson seems unphased.
Johnson misses with a hook. McDaniel ducked under it nicely.

Johnson feints and as McDaniel raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McDaniel is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Johnson is in close to McDaniel's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McDaniel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McDaniel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Johnson.
McDaniel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Johnson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Johnson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McDaniel's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDaniel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between McDaniel's legs - danger averted.
McDaniel wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment.

Johnson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is working McDaniel over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
McDaniel has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle.
McDaniel doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Johnson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

McDaniel is rocked!

McDaniel has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.
McDaniel is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him?

Johnson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Johnson cracks McDaniel with a solid left hand.
Johnson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Johnson in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and McDaniel looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Johnson turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
