The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Kushman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kushman looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Kushman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Cru Jones has been cut.

Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kushman lands a jab to the nose.

Jones is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kushman cracks Jones with an uppercut from hell and Jones crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Kushman's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kushman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kushman is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Jones is hurt! He's hurt bad - Kushman fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Jones from any more punishment! Congratulations to Kushman! Great finish!
