And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 38 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karol Cropp!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cropp shoots in but Slade avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cropp throws a shot from downtown. Slade moves away and avoids it.
Slade jabs at Cropp's body.
Cropp shoots in for a takedown but Slade shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cropp tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cropp wants to clinch.
Cropp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slade tries to avoid it but Cropp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slade to the ground. Slade escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tyrone Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karol Cropp.

Cropp bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Slade is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Cropp might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Slade haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Cropp throws a strike but Slade rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Slade is working Cropp over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Slade connects with a couple of short punches.

Cropp escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slade's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Cropp has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slade can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cropp has his foot on Slade's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slade works his way back into a safe position though.
Slade not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Karol Cropp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slade looks to land a left hand but Cropp moved out of range nicely.

Slade swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slade will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cropp's coach down at The Iron Palace was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cropp's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Slade is looking to wear down Cropp with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Slade fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Slade throws a series of strikes that have Cropp backpedaling.
Slade will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cropp lands with an uppercut that bounces Slade off the cage and back into range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Slade swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Slade looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Slade lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cropp drops his hands momentarily and Slade takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Cropp cracks Slade with an uppercut from hell and Slade crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Cropp's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Tyrone Slade's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Slade has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Cropp has passed into side control.

Cropp jabs Slade to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Slade has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Slade there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cropp just misses with a punch to the body.
Cropp throws the left hand but Slade avoids the punch easily.
Cropp throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slade went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Slade uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cropp.
Cropp tries to score a power double leg takedown but Slade sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cropp somewhat.
Slade works the jab nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slade throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cropp connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Karol Cropp really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that My$tic Clothing ~ (`10%Laundry`) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
