Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alec Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Brooks will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris keeps the fight on the outside.

Norris moves into the clinch.

Brooks pulls guard successfully.
Norris's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Brooks trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Brooks wants to control but Norris passes easily into half guard.
Brooks tries to roll over but Norris keeps him under control.
Brooks is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Norris scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brooks wants to improve his position but Norris is controlling well.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Norris stands up and beckons Brooks to join him on the feet.

Brooks tries to keep at a distance but Norris has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brooks has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Norris regains guard immediately.
Norris is pulling down on Brooks's head. It's preventing any offense from Brooks, at least for the moment.

Brooks content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Norris has locked up a guillotine! Norris's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Brooks is holding on here and Norris must be using up a lot of energy. Brooks has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Norris gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
