Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daken Akihiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raijin Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kage's choice of entrance music: Ride the Lightning. Daken Akihiro had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akihiro avoids the head kick by Kage.
Akihiro doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kage closes the distance but Akihiro moves to the side
and Akihiro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
An inside leg kick from Kage misses.
Akihiro moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kage sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Akihiro has taken the fight to the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Akihiro fails to land.
Kage's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

It looks like Raijin Kage has been cut.

Kage steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Akihiro. That one must have hurt.

Kage tries to keep at a distance but Akihiro has taken the fight into the clinch.
Akihiro lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Kage has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Akihiro avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Akihiro throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kage stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Akihiro counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kage's knee momentarily.
Akihiro lands a big head kick that sends Kage to the canvas! Akihiro follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
