Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Romano Redz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Clifton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano Redz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Craig Clifton!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redz misses with a body shot.

Clifton tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Clifton throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Redz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Clifton is in Redz's guard.

Redz is nestled in close to Clifton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Clifton is looking for a sweep. Redz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Clifton is staying active underneath Redz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Redz is looking to stall here but Clifton recovers full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Clifton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Redz defends well.

Clifton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Redz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Clifton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Redz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Clifton somewhat.

Clifton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Clifton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Redz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clifton was well out of range. Poor timing from Redz.

Clifton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Redz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Clifton but great work by Redz.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Redz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clifton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
