The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Binay paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Binay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Binay seems to be working for a kimura but Pulis defends the submission attempt.

Binay seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Binay winds up and cracks Pulis with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pulis wants to improve his position but Binay is controlling well.
Pulis wants to control but Binay is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Binay looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Binay thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pulis's head.
Binay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Binay wants to work for an arm triangle but Pulis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Binay in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pulis tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Binay!

After the fight, Rudy Mar Binay was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
