Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rayjay Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter has chosen Black Betty as his entrance music. Rayjay Carter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Ritter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rayjay Carter!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter avoids a kick to the body.
Despite the aggression on Carter's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Carter goes for a double leg but Ritter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ritter continues to drive forward.
Ritter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Carter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ritter tries to clinch up but Carter circles away and keeps his distance.
Carter throws a series of punches but Ritter avoids them all with ease.
Ritter just misses with a punch to the body.
Sylvester Ritter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ritter is fending him off so far but Carter persists. Nope, Ritter circles away and we're back to standing.

Ritter moves into range and clinches up with Carter.
Carter fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sylvester Ritter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rayjay Carter.
Ritter scores with a shoulder strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter is looking for a takedown.
Ritter working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Carter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ritter smiles and moves away.

Ritter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ritter passes into half guard.
Carter wants to control but Ritter is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ritter tries to pass to full mount but Carter defends it.
Ritter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Ritter is nestled in close to Carter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ritter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Carter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ritter scores with a couple of nice shots.


It looks like Rayjay Carter has been cut.
Carter gets full guard.
Carter looks winded!
Ritter throws a big elbow that misses.
Carter wants to sweep but no luck.
Ritter throwing strikes but missing.
Ritter with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ritter.
Ritter is in close to Carter's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ritter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ritter postures up in Carter's guard and throws a big left but Carter blocks it.
Ritter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carter on the ground.
Ritter trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carter is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Carter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ritter is working Carter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ritter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ritter with a nice head shot there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ritter throws a big right hand that misses.
Ritter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ritter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Carter uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Carter moves in looking to clinch but Ritter pushes him off.
A shot to the body from Ritter misses
and Carter counters with a three punch combo that has Ritter backing up. Ritter nods at Carter to acknowledge the strikes.

Carter is rocked!
Ritter cracks Carter's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Carter slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Ritter can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sylvester Ritter!
Rayjay Carter was interviewed post fight and said 'I would like to thank my fans for their continuing support. And I look forward to coming back and to prove myself.'.
