Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lowery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Woodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mike Lowery has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Lowery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrone Woodson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodson fails to land the takedown.

Woodson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lowery's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Woodson wants to pass the guard but Lowery is defending well.

Woodson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lowery has managed to free his arm - good work.
Lowery is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Woodson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Woodson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lowery is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Woodson scores with a couple of nice shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Woodson is looking to advance position but Lowery won't allow it.
Lowery blocking the ground and pound attempt from Woodson.
Woodson stalling.
It looks like Woodson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Lowery has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Woodson is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woodson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lowery stalks Woodson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Woodson's face. Woodson staggers backwards, shaken.
Woodson shoots in looking for a takedown. Lowery tries to sprawl out of it but Woodson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lowery manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lowery lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lowery works over Woodson's head and body with a nice combination.
Lowery feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Woodsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!


Woodson is rocked!
Woodson gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Lowery gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Woodson is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Lowery!
