Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Strashko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phukyorselvf Uzannavabizch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzannavabizch has chosen Brandon Loveladdy's band WE ARE THE CHOSEN : BREAKING THE KARMIC CYCLE as his entrance music. Phukyorselvf Uzannavabizch has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Strashko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Phukyorselvf Uzannavabizch!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzannavabizch takes a swing at Strashko's ribcage but misses.
Strashko staying out of range there.
Uzannavabizch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Strashko was well out of range. Poor timing from Uzannavabizch.
Strashko swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Uzannavabizch moves into range and connects with a jab.
Uzannavabizch pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Uzannavabizch's coach down at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Uzannavabizch's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Uzannavabizch on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Uzannavabizch scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Strashko lands the left hand.

Strashko cracks Uzannavabizch with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Strashko has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Uzannavabizch to stand back up!


Uzannavabizch is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Strashko rushes Uzannavabizch and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Uzannavabizch blocks an uppercut.
Uzannavabizch misses with a short punch on the inside.

Strashko breaks from the clinch.
Strashko misses with a body shot.
Strashko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Uzannavabizch counters by clinching up.

Strashko swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Strashko throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Uzannavabizchs head.
Uzannavabizch is leaning against Strashko and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Strashko breaks from the clinch.
Uzannavabizch scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Strashko throws out a loose jab but Uzannavabizch uses good head movement to avoid it.
Uzannavabizch dodges the punch combination from Strashko.
We've been told by Strashko's head coaches at Goons Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Strashko misses with a hook. Uzannavabizch ducked under it nicely.

Strashko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Uzannavabizch tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Strashko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Uzannavabizch walks into a stiff left hand from Strashko.
Ivan Strashko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uzannavabizch buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Strashko misses with a hook. Uzannavabizch ducked under it nicely.

Strashko drops Uzannavabizch with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Uzannavabizch looks back up at him and smiles so Strashko waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Uzannavabizch is still on wobbly legs! Can Strashko finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Strashko.
Uzannavabizch is not content to let Strashko control the position.
Uzannavabizch manages to get back to half guard.
Uzannavabizch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Strashko is working away from the top position though.
Uzannavabizch seems to have recovered his senses.
Uzannavabizch keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Uzannavabizch has hold of Strashko's hands but Strashko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Uzannavabizch is looking for a sweep. Strashko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Strashko wants to get up but he can't break Uzannavabizch's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Uzannavabizch fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Strashko missing with a left hand there. Uzannavabizch was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Uzannavabizch swings for the body but Strashko moves out of range.
Uzannavabizch slips a straight right by Strashko.
Uzannavabizch only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Uzannavabizch takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Strashko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Uzannavabizch throws a leg kick but Strashko sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Uzannavabizch checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Uzannavabizch tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Strashko creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Uzannavabizch goes for a takedown attempt but Strashko pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Phukyorselvf Uzannavabizch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Uzannavabizch closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Uzannavabizch looks for the body kick but Strashko saw that one coming.
Uzannavabizch on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Uzannavabizch connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Uzannavabizch misses with a shot to the body
and Strashko counters with a slapping leg kick.

Strashko lands a big uppercut and Uzannavabizch crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Uzannavabizch looks OK. Strashko waves Uzannavabizch back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Strashko lands a huge takedown. Uzannavabizch is out but the ref is slow to react and Strashko lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Uzannavabizch lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Strashko!
Ivan Strashko took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Dont mess with cossacks you foolish englishman. And especially dont mess with Viking Cossacks.'.
