The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey tries to work over Fitzpatrick's front leg with a kick but Fitzpatrick checks it.
Fitzpatrick unleashes a big counter combination but Bailey bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Fitzpatrick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fitzpatrick listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Bailey throws a push kick but Fitzpatrick slaps the foot to one side.
Bailey throws a head kick that misses.
Fitzpatrick misses with the combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fitzpatrick looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As Fitzpatrick looks to move away, Bailey throws a big counter combo but Fitzpatrick just gets out of the way.
Bailey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fitzpatrick paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bailey scores with a nice head shot.
Fitzpatrick misses with a hook to the body
and Bailey counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fitzpatrick checks a low kick from Bailey.
Bailey lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bailey.
Fitzpatrick is rocked!
Fitzpatrick closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bailey connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fitzpatrick is still on wobbly legs! Can Bailey finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fitzpatrick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Fitzpatrick. Those never looked like landing.
Bailey ducks right into an uppercut from Fitzpatrick.
Bailey has Fitzpatrick up against the cage in a clinch.
Bailey is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fitzpatrick can't fight it off and eventually Bailey manages to take the fight to the floor. Fitzpatrick looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitzpatrick has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bailey doesn't defend quickly enough and Fitzpatrick has managed to lock this one up! Can Bailey escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Fitzpatrick on a fantastic submission victory.
