PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Moraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has chosen mama said knock you out as his entrance music. The key to victory for Rick Moraz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Moraz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gunnar Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Moraz avoids the head kick by Nelson.

Nelson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Moraz's guard.

Moraz has his feet on Nelson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Nelson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Moraz back to the cage. Nelson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Nelson.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nelson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Moraz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nelson defends well.
