Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bartkos Michalos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Laschenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laschenko with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Michalos shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Michalos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Michalos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Michalos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Laschenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Michalos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Laschenko pushes Michalos off looking to stand but Michalos dives back in and keeps control.
Michalos winds up and cracks Laschenko with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laschenko can do anything to dispel that myth.

Laschenko has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at SP ICON gym hilo . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Laschenko wants to get back to his feet.
Michalos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Laschenko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Laschenko is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Michalos scores with a couple of nice shots.

Michalos lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Laschenko quite badly. Laschenko pulls Michalos in close trying to recover. Michalos postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Laschenko on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Laschenko doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Bartkos Michalos decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
