Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Jaun-Paul Fredrickson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spiteri dives in and grabs Fredrickson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fredrickson pushes down on Spiteri's head and hops out.
Spiteri jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fredrickson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spiteri circles away.
We've been told by Spiteri's head coaches at Demon's Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Spiteri lands a right hook to the body.

Fredrickson moves into range and clinches up with Spiteri.

Spiteri is trying to break the clinch but Fredrickson has him pressed against the cage.
Fredrickson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Spiteri goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Spiteri tries to score a body lock takedown but Fredrickson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Spiteri is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fredrickson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fredrickson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Spiteri goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Spiteri gets caught napping as Fredrickson dives in and scores a takedown. Spiteri manages to retain guard.

Spiteri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've been informed that Fredrickson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Fredrickson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Spiteri is on top in guard.


Spiteri stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Fredrickson has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Spiteri manages to get his head free but now Fredrickson has transitioned to an armbar! Spiteri grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Fredrickson! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jaun-Paul Fredrickson!
Jaun-Paul Fredrickson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
