Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Drunk Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Drunk Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ronald Schultz!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Guy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Schultz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Guy.
Guy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Schultz counters by clinching up.

Guy fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Schultz crunches a lovely knee into Guy's ribcage.
Guy is working for takedown but Schultz is calmly controlling the position for now.

Schultz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Guy avoids it really well and circles away.

Guy closes the distance and clinches up with Schultz, looking for a takedown. Guy pushes Schultz against the cage but Schultz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Guy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schultz as he avoids it easily.
Schultz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guy's waist but Guy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schultz off to one side.
Schultz shoots in but Guy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Guy is looking to clinch.

Schultz has managed to clinch.

Schultz lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Schultz is looking for a kimura but Guy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schultz to get the leverage.
Guy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schultz is working away from the top position though.

Schultz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Guy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schultz.

Guy manages to get to full guard.
Guy wants to stand and escape but Schultz is having none of it.
Guy throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Schultz is looking to stand up but Guy won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Guy throws a sloppy head kick and Schultz moves out of range easily.
Schultz shoots in for a takedown but Guy shows good takedown defense.
As Schultz tries to get set, Guy tries to push him back and clinch up but Schultz manages to avoid the attempt.

Schultz rushes Guy and presses him up against the cage.
Guy is trying to drag Schultz to the mat but Schultz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Guy tries to pull guard but Schultz holds him up against the cage and eventually Guy drops back down to his feet.
Schultz can't get the takedown.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Schultz gets control of Guy's arms and successfully pulls guard. Schultz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Guy wants to control from the top but Schultz keeps moving.
Guy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Guy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schultz sprawls well initially but Guy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Schultz makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Guy throws a nice looking combination but Schultz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Schultz leaves Guy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Schultz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Guy has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Schultz.

Schultz drives through and clinches with Guy against the cage.

Schultz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Schultz shoots in looking for a takedown. Guy tries to sprawl out of it but Schultz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Schultz pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ronald Schultz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
