The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lothbrok throws a hook but Grundy blocks it.
Lothbrok fails with a takedown attempt.
Grundy has been working on his boxing with his coaches at White Lotus in the buildup to the fight.
Grundy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lothbrok throws the left hand but Grundy avoids the punch easily.
Lothbrok avoids the body shot from Grundy.

Lothbrok closes the distance and pushes Grundy back into the cage.

Lothbrok tries to break free but Grundy pushes him back against the cage.

Lothbrok's coach down at Wreckshop was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lothbrok's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A head kick misses from Grundy.
A little jabbing left from Lothbrok on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Grundy feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lothbrok's calf.
Lothbrok throws a jab but it's blocked by Grundy.

Lothbrok misses with a takedown attempt - Grundy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Brodie Grundy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rollo Lothbrok.

Grundy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lothbrok, pushing him back against the cage.
Lothbrok has had enough of the clinch but Grundy keeps him there for the moment.

Grundy looks to land a left hand but Lothbrok moved out of range nicely.

Lothbrok lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Grundy tries to land a leg kick but Lothbrok saw it coming and moves away.

Grundy throws a chopping leg kick but Lothbrok manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

enabling Lothbrok to counter with a crisp jab.
Lothbrok misses with a series of wild punches.
Grundy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lothbrok stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Grundy connects with a looping right hand.
Lothbrok bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Grundy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Brodie Grundy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lothbrok shoots in and drives through. Grundy sprawls well.
Lothbrok fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lothbrok avoids the head kick by Grundy.
Grundy throws a half hearted mid kick.
Grundy slips under a jab.
Grundy just misses with a punch to the body.
Lothbrok shoots in looking for a takedown. Grundy tries to sprawl out of it but Lothbrok keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grundy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lothbrok swats away the attempt to clinch by Grundy.

Lothbrok scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grundy manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Grundy stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Lothbrok drops his hands momentarily and Grundy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Grundy lands a nice looking body kick.
Grundy connects with a leg kick. Lothbrok looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Grundy throws a series of punches but Lothbrok moves out of range.
Grundy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A slow jab from Grundy misses its intended target.
Grundy looks to throw the jab but Lothbrok is out of range.
Lothbrok wants to counter the offense by Grundy and move into the clinch position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A low kick from Grundy misses
and Lothbrok counters with a nice uppercut.
Grundy throws a jab when Lothbrok was well out of range.
Lothbrok takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Grundy throws a head kick that misses.
Grundy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lothbrok.
Lothbrok uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grundy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lothbrok! But no joy.
Grundy walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lothbrok checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lothbrok might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Lothbrok doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Grundy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Grundy lands a big head kick that sends Lothbrok tumbling to the mat! Grundy takes a step backwards and waves Lothbrok back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lothbrok is rocked!

It looks like Rollo Lothbrok has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Grundy throws a head kick that misses.
Lothbrok is still on wobbly legs! Can Grundy finish him?
Lothbrok punishes Grundy's body with a nice straight punch.
Lothbrok gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Grundy gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
