Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lee Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Verner Stolt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis comes to the cage accompanied by NIN - Only. Verner Stolt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Verner Stolt!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stolt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A solid body kick from Stolt.
Stolt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lewis.
Stolt lands a high kick!

Stolt lands a big head kick that sends Lewis tumbling to the mat! Stolt takes a step backwards and waves Lewis back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Lewis is rocked!


It looks like Lee Lewis has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stolt scores with a jab to the head.
Oh Lewis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stolt lands a jab.
Stolt thuds a left hand into Lewis's body.
Stolt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lewis seems to have got his legs back now.
Stolt lands a jab to Lewis's midsection.
Stolt throws a half hearted mid kick.

A head kick misses from Stolt.
Stolt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lewis.
Stolt throws the left hand but Lewis avoids the punch easily.
Lewis feinted with a counter takedown.
Lewis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Stolt plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Stolt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lewis.
Lewis tries to counter with a takedown but Stolt is quick to defend against it.
Stolt lands with a kick to the temple. Lewis shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Lewis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Stolt finds it's way round the side to connect with Lewis's head.

Stolt lands a big head kick that sends Lewis tumbling to the mat! Stolt takes a step backwards and waves Lewis back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lewis takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Stolt getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Stolt tries a head kick but it misses.
Lewis feinted with a counter takedown.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lewis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Stolt - the referee stops the clock and Lewis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Stolt. Lewis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Stolt throws a body punch but Lewis moves out of range.
Lewis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Stolt works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Lewis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lewis there as he acknowledges the shot.
Stolt throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lewis.
Lewis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Stolt is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lewis had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Stolt lands a big head kick that sends Lewis tumbling to the mat! Stolt takes a step backwards and waves Lewis back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Stolt has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Stolt lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Verner Stolt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stolt moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Stolt throws a front kick aimed at Lewis's knee but Lewis avoids it well.
Verner Stolt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stolt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stolt lands a head kick. Lewis smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Stolt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lewis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Stolt sprawls and moves away.
Stolt looks to land a body kick but Lewis moved away.
Lewis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Stolt stalks Lewis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lewis's face. Lewis staggers backwards, shaken.
Stolt cracks Lewis with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Stolt misses with a kick to the body

and Lewis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stolt!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stolt struggling a bit here.

Lewis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lewis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Verner Stolt dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lee Lewis's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Stolt thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lewis if he has to take too many more of those.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stolt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Stolt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Stolt has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stolt lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

and Lewis counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Stolt is looking for a sweep. Lewis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lewis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stolt has managed to free his arm - good work.
We've been hearing good reports from Lewis's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Lewis is trying to control. Stolt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Lewis content to control rather than advance.

Lewis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stolt defends it well.
Lewis wants to control but Stolt is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stolt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Lewis tries to pass to full mount but Stolt defends it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lewis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stolt is just riding it out for now. Lewis eventually gives up the hold.
Lewis wants to control but Stolt is keeping him busy.

Lewis seems to be working for a kimura but Stolt defends the submission attempt.
Stolt holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lewis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lewis takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Verner Stolt seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Stolt scores with a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Verner Stolt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lewis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stolt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lewis doesn't seem bothered though.

Lewis ducks right into an uppercut from Stolt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stolt uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Lewis takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lewis looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Stolt feints with a jab and clips Lewis right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Lewis is sent crashing into the canvas and Stolt leaps in for the kill! Lewis tries to get to his feet but Stolt is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Lewis is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Verner Stolt!
Our winner, Verner Stolt, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
