Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Holy Jenova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
31 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Wei Pei!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pei moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pei crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jenova - the referee stops the clock and Pei gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jenova. Pei manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Jenova takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jenova throws a push kick but Pei slaps the foot to one side.
Pei lands a glancing blow to the side of Jenova's head.
It looks like Holy Jenova has been cut.
Pei scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Pei throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Jenova misses with a lunging right hand
and Pei counters with a leg kick.
A head kick by Jenova misses
and Pei counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jenova feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Peis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jenova throws a sloppy head kick and Pei moves out of range easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pei wants to slow Jenova down by chopping away at his legs.
Jenova tries to clinch there but Pei circles away.
Jenova throws an overhand right that lands on Pei's shoulder, as Pei tries to avoid the shot.
Pei throws out a counter right but Jenova avoids it with no problem.
Jenova misses with a hook.
Jenova gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Pei counters with a left to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pei throws a body kick that misses.
Jenova on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Pei fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenova manages to avoid it.
Jenova tries to close the distance and clinch but Pei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Pei misses.
Pei lands with a right hand.
Pei takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jenova takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pei bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
BOOM! Pei lands a beautiful left hook that drops Jenova. Jenova tries to recover but Pei is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Jenova lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wei Pei!
An intense looking Wei Pei took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Holy shit! Give me Rinky next! '.
