Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trey Oshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgar Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trey Oshiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edgar Mendoza!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oshiro gets a clinch.

Mendoza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mendoza darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Mendoza lands a lovely overhand right.

Oshiro clinches.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Oshiro.
Oshiro misses with an elbow over the top.
Oshiro working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Oshiro is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mendoza is defending well for now.
Oshiro with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've been hearing reports that Oshiro has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Mendoza blocks a body shot from Oshiro.

Oshiro keeps control of Mendoza as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Oshiro has Mendoza pressed against the cage, preventing Mendoza from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mendoza wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Mendoza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oshiro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mendoza as he jumps to the side.
It seemed like Mendoza was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Oshiro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mendoza throws out the jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mendoza catches Oshiro with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Trey Oshiro has been cut.
Mendoza circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mendoza counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Oshiro is rocked!

Oshiro tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mendoza counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Oshiro thinking.
Oshiro is breathing heavily.
Mendoza dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mendoza lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Oshiro at a distance.
Mendoza drops Oshiro with a straight right hand, right on the button! Mendoza follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
