Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aleksei Ponomarenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tweedle Dum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Aleksei Ponomarenko has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponomarenko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Dum's coach down at Rabid Dog was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dum's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ponomarenko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Dum tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ponomarenko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Ponomarenko does no damage.
Ponomarenko throws a hook but Dum blocks it.
Ponomarenko scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dum doesn't seem bothered though.

Dum is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dum throws a looping overhand right but Ponomarenko ducks down to avoid it.
