Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sinan Yak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yak kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Silahsiz Kuvvet - Sözlerim Silahim. Gonzalez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Why Cant we Be Friends!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 39 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesus Gonzalez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yak scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gonzalez tries to improve position but can't.

Yak working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yak wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gonzalez, who protects the arm well.

Yak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yak swings around for an armbar but Gonzalez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Yak's guard.
Gonzalez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Yak has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gonzalez doesn't defend quickly enough and Yak has managed to lock this one up! Can Gonzalez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Yak on a fantastic submission victory.
