Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samson Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Hyypia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyypia has chosen Al Bowlly - Hang out the stars in Indiana as his entrance music. Sami Hyypia will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samson Wade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sami Hyypia!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyypia throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wade counters with a stiff right hand.
Hyypia misses with a head kick.
It looked like Wade wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wade moves out of range as Hyypia strikes.

Wade shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hyypia manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Hyypia kicks Wade off and gets to his feet.
Wade shoots in and drives through. Hyypia sprawls well.
Hyypia appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hyypia cracks Wade with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hyypia slips under a jab from Wade.
Wade has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Vicious Striking in the buildup to the fight.
Hyypia circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wade fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hyypia looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hyypia throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wade's head.
Wade takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sami Hyypia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hyypia throws a nice head kick!

Hyypia drops Wade with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wade looks back up at him and smiles so Hyypia waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Wade is rocked!
Hyypia lands a brutal uppercut that launches Wade off his feet! Wade tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sami Hyypia!
Sami Hyypia decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Samson Wade had this to say: 'Congrats to the man, he fought a great fight, this is a bad loss.'.
