Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Konstantin Khavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pepe Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khavin misses with an uppercut.
Khavin fails to land with a series of punches.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lopez. Khavin does a little dance to reset his feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lopez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Khavin scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Lopez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lopez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lopez throws a strike aimed at the side of Khavin's head but Khavin avoids it well.
Khavin is not content to let Lopez control the position.

Khavin takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

It looks like Konstantin Khavin has been cut.
Khavin is not content to let Lopez control the position.

Lopez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Khavin is looking to control Lopez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khavin avoid being mounted?

Lopez seems to be looking for submissions.
Khavin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Khavin won't allow Lopez to pass to mount.
Khavin tries to get to full guard but Lopez has control of the leg.

Lopez uses his free foot to push down on Khavin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Khavin.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khavin tries to hold on but Lopez pushes him away.
Lopez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lopez wants to control the pace but Khavin is squirming around nicely.

Konstantin Khavin was interviewed post fight and said 'My English is still not so good... I dunno how much I have left. As long as their is a check, I continue to fight... FOR MOTHER RUSSIA!!!'.
