Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Keosayan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perry Charcobeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charcobeau is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fortunate Son. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergey Keosayan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Perry Charcobeau!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Keosayan is defended easily by Charcobeau.
A jab from Charcobeau does it's job there.

Keosayan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Charcobeau to the ground. Keosayan is now in Charcobeau's guard.

Charcobeau pushes Keosayan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Nice uppercut lands for Charcobeau. That snapped Keosayan's head back.

Keosayan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Keosayan thows a huge punch but Charcobeau dodges it nicely.

Keosayan passes to full mount!
Charcobeau wants to hold on but Keosayan pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Charcobeau wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Keosayan.
Keosayan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Keosayan working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Keosayan sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Charcobeau tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Keosayan trying to control but Charcobeau is having none of it.
Keosayan throws a sloppy strike and Charcobeau uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Charcobeau has ended up in Keosayan's guard.

Charcobeau pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Keosayan is keeping the position for now.
Keosayan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Charcobeau is one step ahead there.
Keosayan is trying to keep Charcobeau in close.

Keosayan wants to sweep here but Charcobeau controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Keosayan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Charcobeau wanted to stand there but Keosayan had control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Charcobeau has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Keosayan is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Keosayan dives in and scores a takedown into Charcobeau's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Charcobeau is on top in guard.

Charcobeau slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Keosayan is trying to control the position but Charcobeau postures up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Perry Charcobeau will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Keosayan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Charcobeau but Charcobeau pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Keosayan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Charcobeau bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Keosayan's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Keosayan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Charcobeau defends it easily.

Charcobeau is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Charcobeau stands up and waves to Keosayan to follow him.
Charcobeau leaves Keosayan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Charcobeau lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Keosayan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Keosayan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Keosayan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Charcobeau to the mat! Charcobeau manages to get full guard.

Charcobeau kicks Keosayan off and gets to his feet.
Charcobeau ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Keosayan shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergey Keosayan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Charcobeau connects with the punch.
Keosayan seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Keosayan checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Charcobeau slaps away a takedown attempt from Keosayan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Charcobeau displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Keosayan.

Keosayan has his takedown stuffed
and Charcobeau counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Charcobeau finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Charcobeau is looking to chop away at Keosayan's legs.
Keosayan appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Keosayan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Keosayan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Charcobeau tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Keosayan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Charcobeau can't do much from the bottom here.

Keosayan wants to control but Charcobeau is keeping him busy.
Charcobeau is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Charcobeau regains half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Charcobeau wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Perry Charcobeau showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Keosayan shoots in and drives through. Charcobeau sprawls well.
Charcobeau throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Charcobeau slips under a jab.
That kick from Charcobeau tenderised Keosayan's leg. Keosayan is trying to keep his angry face on.
Charcobeau fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Keosayan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Charcobeau throws out a leg kick but Keosayan moves out of range and Charcobeau only half commits.
Perry Charcobeau seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Charcobeau with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Keosayan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Keosayan shoots in for a takedown but Charcobeau shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Charcobeau let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Keosayan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Charcobeau walks into a straight right hand from Keosayan.

And that's the end of the fight!
Perry Charcobeau comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Charcobeau has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
