The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Alvarez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Duncan - the referee stops the clock and Alvarez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Duncan. Alvarez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Alvarez in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Duncan lands a big head kick that sends Alvarez tumbling to the mat! Duncan takes a step backwards and waves Alvarez back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Alvarez throws a wild hook but Duncan just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Alvarez gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Duncan raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
