PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ceasar Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Morgan's choice of entrance music: Fat Lip. Ceasar Morgan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Morgan 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lopez's corner calls for a 1-2. Lopez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lopez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Morgan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Morgan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

My spies in Death Valley Training Facility inform me that Morgan has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lopez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Morgan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lopez.
