PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kesuke Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miyagi comes into the arena with Your'e The Best Around blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 49 - 12 - 3, fighting out of Hilo, Kesuke Miyagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Coleman Jr!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman Jr lands a body shot.
Miyagi misses with a body kick.
Coleman Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miyagi was well out of range. Poor timing from Coleman Jr.
Miyagi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Miyagi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Coleman Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Miyagi takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Miyagi managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Coleman Jr.
Miyagi wants to get back to his feet but Coleman Jr drags him back down.
Coleman Jr cracks Miyagi with a big elbow.
Coleman Jr scoring with punches and elbows.
Miyagi is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Coleman Jr looks up at the clock and then as Miyagi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Coleman Jr smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Miyagi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Coleman Jr is controlling him well.

And Coleman Jr tries to counter it with a takedown but Miyagi pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Coleman Jr counters with a shoot takedown. Miyagi fights it but they end up in guard.

Miyagi has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Coleman Jr is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Coleman Jr is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Miyagi is defending well for now.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Coleman Jr lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Miyagi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Miyagi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Coleman Jr has taken the fight to the clinch.
Coleman Jr swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Miyagi is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Coleman Jr lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Miyagi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Coleman Jr has him pressed against the cage.

Coleman Jr has Miyagi pressed against the cage, preventing Miyagi from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Miyagi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
