The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Simon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Malingo drives through with a takedown into Simon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Simon is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Malingo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Simon misses with a punch on the inside.

Simon is pressed up against the cage. Malingo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Simon down to the mat. Simon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Simon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Simon uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Clark Simon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good exchange - Simon coming out on top.
Simon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Simon scores with a one two! Malingo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Malingo closes the distance and clinches up with Simon, looking for a takedown. Malingo pushes Simon against the cage but Simon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Simon does no damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Simon bucks up and tries to throw Malingo off but instead Malingo has got his back!

Malingo slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Simon won't enjoy being in this position. Malingo looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Simon is tapping - it's over boys! Malingo picks up the submission victory!
