Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johannis Modigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Sobrante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sobrante is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Primus - Fisticuffs. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Modigh with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sobrante throws a nice inside leg kick.
Modigh throws a jab when Sobrante was well out of range.
Sobrante is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Modigh with a body shot.
Modigh looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Modigh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sobrante has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Modigh connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sobrante checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sobrante throws a body shot but no joy.
Modigh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Modigh thuds his right hand into Sobrante's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A head kick misses from Sobrante.

Sobrante throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Modigh was covering up waiting for the punch and Sobrante finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sobrante is pushing down on Modigh's leg trying to pass to half guard. Modigh is fighting to maintain full guard but Sobrante has managed to sneak the leg through.

Modigh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sobrante pulls his head out easily.

Sobrante is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Modigh is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Sobrante locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Modigh is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Les Sobrante!
A relieved looking Les Sobrante thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
