Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Riki Maru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Midas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maru kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chris Brown - Ayo. Riki Maru had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maru walks into a left hand.
Midas lands a head kick!
A jab from Midas finds it's way through Maru's defenses.
Maru tries for a takedown but Midas circles away easily
and Midas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Midas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maru throws a leg kick
and Midas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Maru looks for a takedown but Midas sprawls well.
Midas lands with a kick to the ribs.
Midas bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Maru has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Midas.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head kick from Midas lands but Maru takes it in his stride.

Maru is rocked!
Maru misses with a takedown attempt - Midas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Oh Maru is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riki Maru. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Midas throws a head kick but Maru moves out of range.
Maru feinted with a counter takedown.
Maru seems to have got his legs back now.
Midas slips a jab from Maru.
Midas throws a front kick that sends Maru stumbling back into the cage.
Midas goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A good leg kick by Midas.
A punch lands to the side of Maru 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Midas lands a big head kick that sends Maru to the canvas! Midas follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Midas!
