Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Burton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arlan Castro!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro throws a hook to the side of Burton's head but Burton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A good leg kick by Burton.
Castro changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Burton lands a head kick that stumbles Castro and the fighters go to the mat.


It looks like Arlan Castro has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Castro sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Castro has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Burton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Castro.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Burton connects with a nice short shot to Castro's temple.

Burton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Castro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Burton appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Castro sizes up Burton with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castro misses with an uppercut
and Burton counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Castro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Castro tries to close the distance and clinch but Burton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Burton moves out of range of the strikes.

Castro gets caught flat footed, as Burton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Castro can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Burton controls the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Arlan Castro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Burton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
