The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Hokolazu misses.
Mostert ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mostert has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hokolazu misses with a looping right.
A telegraphed right hand from Hokolazu misses the target.
Mostert feints a counter leg kick.

Mostert changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hokolazu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mostert working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hokolazu is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mostert tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mostert has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mostert throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
