Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Behan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daryl Darnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darnell jabs at Behan's body.
No luck for Behan with that takedown attempt.
Behan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Darnell counters with a nice body shot.
Darnell misses with a body kick.
Behan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Darnell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Behan fails with the takedown.

Behan shoots in but no luck this time.
Brendan Behan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Darnell misses with the combination.

Behan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Darnell is trying to defend but Behan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Darnell felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Behan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Darnell is looking to escape.

Darnell bucks up and throws Behan to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Daryl Darnell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Darnell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Behan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Darnell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Darnell scoring well with a low kick there.
Darnell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've been told by Behan's head coaches at Cozad MMA Helsinki that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Darnell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Darnell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Behan is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Darnell.
Darnell throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
No luck for Behan with that takedown attempt.

Behan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Darnell dances in with a quick combination. Behan is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Darnell snaps Behan's head back. Behan stumbles backwards against the cage. Darnell steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Behan's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Behan just didn't come prepared.
